Office Buildings Standard Methods of Measurement:
Do you know how your building measures up? Literally?
In this seminar, students will identify the factors driving
the changes in measurement standards, leading to the 2017 BOMA Office Standard.
Additionally, students will explore new terminology and concepts; review two
methods for measuring office area; learn simple steps to measure office space
and utilize the correct lease language when citing the standard.
BOMA International is a founding member of the International
Property Measurement Standards Coalition (IPMSC), an international group of
professional and not-for-profit organizations working together to develop and
implement global standards for measuring real property. Through the adoption of
the IPMS, property assets will be measured in a consistent way, creating a more
transparent marketplace, stronger investor confidence and increased market

He has developed Gensler’s proprietary Navigating the BOMA Standards and BOMA 2017 seminars. Ron’s real estate and entrepreneurial experiences give him a unique approach to information management.
