BOMA Georgia Committees
Becoming involved in a committee is one of the best ways to enhance your member experience with BOMA Georgia. Committee participation provides countless networking and leadership development opportunities. Participating in a committee is also a rewarding way to gain a better understanding of the association. While the charges of each committee are strategically set by association leadership, it is up to committee members to accomplish yearly goals and objectives through the implementation of new ideas, execution of teamwork and realization of a shared vision. The work of BOMA Georgia committees is vitally important to the success and progress of the association. Consider joining one of BOMA Georgia’s many committees today.
How to sign up
Involvement in a BOMA Georgia committee is a benefit of membership, so only current members are permitted to sign up for committee service. If you are a member and interested in being on a committee, please download a committee sign-up form

Allied Member Resource Group
A unique and effective educational resource specifically designed for BOMA Georgia allied members that also creates a supportive interaction between regular and allied members. The AMRG meets about four times per year.
Plans and conducts an annual awards program to recognize individuals for their contributions to BOMA Georgia and the commercial real estate industry. The Awards Committee meets one time in January.
BOMA Technical Organization
Develops and provides programs for building engineers. The BTO meets throughout the year.
Community Service Committee
Researches community needs and develops plans to assist. The CSC meets throughout the year.
Determines the theme for each quarterly issue of Insight: The Commercial Real Estate Journal and suggests articles ideas and topics for the magazine. The Editorial Board meets four times per year.
Government Affairs Committee
Monitors, studies and recommends policy and advocacy strategies on legislative and regulatory matters that affect the commercial real estate industry. The GAC meets throughout the year, most heavily during the state legislative session at the beginning of each year.
Plans and conducts the ongoing membership recruitment and retention programs of the association. This committee is also responsible for implementing new member engagement strategies. The Membership Committee meets four to five times per year.
Professional Development Council
Develops and approves BOMA Georgia professional development programs and ensures courses are offered for the RPA, FMA, SMT and SMA designations. The PDC meets four times per year.
Sports Outing Committee
Plans and conducts the annual BOMA Georgia Sports Outing, which includes a golf and tennis tournament. The Sports Outing Committee meets several times from June through October of each year.
Plans and conducts the activities leading to the selection of The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, including the Earth Award. The TOBY Committee meets one time in December or January of each year.
Trade Show Committee
Performs various duties in support of and in preparation for the annual BOMA Georgia Trade Show. These duties include advising and recommending improvements to the Trade Show; selecting the show theme; organizing the Silent Auction; and providing volunteer assistance the day of the show. The Trade Show Committee meets several times from January through May of each year.
